My steering wheel doesnt lock and continues to turn in whichever direction i turn the wheel?

yea lots of cars do that it is not a dot standard for a vch to have locking string wheel for at best last 8-5 yrs HEY you dont even give up YR MAKE MODEL ????????????????????
